Dua tentara Israel itu ditangkap dan diinterograsi oleh polisi Belgia.
Mereka ditangkap atas dugaan pelanggaran serius hukum humaniter internasional buntut perang di Gaza.
Kedua tentara Israel itu diperiksa pada akhir pekan lalu setelah dilaporkan pada Jumat (18/7) dan Sabtu (19/7).
Setelah menjalani proses interogasi, kedua tentara Israel itu dibebaskan tanpa penahanan lanjutan.
Kementerian Luar Negeri Israel membenarkan penangkapan tersebut.
Namun menurut Israel, dua orang yang ditangkap di Belgia itu salah satunya merupakan warga sipil.
Di sisi lain Kejaksaan Belgia menegaskan bahwa keduanya merupakan anggota militer Israel.
Sehingga dalam hal itu terjadi ketidaksesuaian dalam pernyataan kedua belah pihak.
Kementerian Luar Negeri Israel mengatakan bahwa pemerintah telah menangani masalah itu.
