Евросоюз официально начнёт переговоры о вступлении Украины и Молдовы 15 июня.Все государства-члены ЕС согласовали открытие первого переговорного кластера. Об этом сообщила президент Европейской комиссии Урсула фон дер Ляйен в социальной сети X.
Речь идёт о базовом этапе переговоров, который охватывает вопросы верховенства права, функционирования демократических институтов и соблюдения основных ценностей Европейского союза.
В Киеве президент Украины Владимир Зеленский провёл встречу с министром обороны Латвии Райвисом Мелнисом. Стороны обсудили реализацию соглашения в сфере обороны, подписанного Украиной и Латвией на этой неделе.
Для главы латвийского оборонного ведомства этот визит стал первым зарубежным визитом после назначения на должность.
Также во время встречи обсуждались вопросы дальнейшего сотрудничества в сфере безопасности в условиях продолжающейся российской агрессии.
