Proyecto de Control de Agua Dashixia abre nuevo capítulo para gestión e infraestructura en Xinjiang

En el Gran Cañón del río Kumarak, ubicado en la prefectura de Aksu, en la región autónoma uigur de Xinjiang, se eleva una represa de 247 metros de altura. Esta forma parte del Proyecto de Control de Agua Dashixia, que integra labores de gestión de irrigación, generación de energía, control de inundaciones y protección ecológica.

El Proyecto de Control de Agua Dashixia se encuentra en la confluencia de los distritos de Wensu y Wushi en el Gran Cañón del río Kumarak. La presa alcanza una altura máxima de 247 metros, equivalente a un edificio de 80 pisos, con un volumen total de llenado de 18,9 millones de metros cúbicos, suficiente para llenar 7.560 piscinas estándar.

El embalse tiene una capacidad total de alrededor de 1.200 millones de metros cúbicos, comparable al volumen de agua de 80 Lagos del Oeste. Su central eléctrica cuenta con una capacidad instalada de 750.000 kilovatios y genera casi 1,9 mil millones de kilovatios-hora anualmente.
