Brühl/Rhein-Neckar-Kreis: Am Montagvormittag gegen 10:30 Uhr geriet in der Richard-Wagner-Straße in Brühl aus bislang ungeklärter Ursache ein Pkw in Brand. Beim Eintreffen der Feuerwehr stand das Fahrzeug bereits in Vollbrand. Durch auslaufenden Kraftstoff griffen die Flammen auf ein weiteres Fahrzeug über. Die Einsatzkräfte bekämpften das Feuer unter Atemschutz mit mehreren Strahlrohren. Um ein erneutes Aufflammen zu verhindern, wurde abschließend ein Schaumteppich aufgebracht. Mindestens drei weitere in der Nähe abgestellte Fahrzeuge wurden durch die starke Hitzeeinwirkung beschädigt. Zudem kam es an der Fassade eines angrenzenden Wohnhauses zu Schäden: Ein Kunststoffrollladen schmolz, außerdem platzte eine Fensterscheibe infolge der Hitze. Während des Einsatzes stürzte ein Passant auf einer durch das Löschwasser entstandenen Eisfläche und zog sich Verletzungen zu. Er wurde vor Ort vom Rettungsdienst medizinisch versorgt. Es entstand erheblicher Sachschaden. Zur Höhe liegen derzeit noch keine Informationen vor.
