Typhoon Dolphin LIVE: Typhoon Dolphin Nears Taiwan, Heavy Rain & Strong Winds Expected
Typhoon Dolphin is moving closer to Taiwan, with the storm expected to pass nearest to the island on Saturday night or Sunday. Taiwan’s Central Weather Administration (CWA) says Dolphin was located about 510 km east-northeast of Taipei as of Saturday morning, packing maximum sustained winds of 126 kph.The typhoon is weakening slightly but is expected to bring heavy rain to northern Taiwan first, with rainfall spreading across other parts of the island. Central mountain areas and northern Taiwan could see heavy to extremely heavy rain as Dolphin approaches.
