Aksi protes ini terus bergulir sebelum Netanyahu pidato di Sidang Umum PBB pada Jumat (26/9).
Bahkan hotel Netanyahu dipenuhi oleh demonstran yang berasal dari kalangan anti pemerintah Israel.
Mereka memegang berbagai poster, bertuliskan "Selamatkan Israel dari Netanyahu," "Hentikan perang," dan "Bebaskan mereka semua."
Tak hanya itu, massa juga meneriakkan “Bawa mereka pulang” dan “Tidak ada solusi militer,” yang diiringi ketukan drum.
Para pengunjuk rasa, yang dipimpin oleh ekspatriat Israel di New York, menuntut diakhirinya perang dan pembebasan para sandera yang ditawan di Gaza.
Kelompok aktivis anti-Israel non-Yahudi juga telah melakukan protes di PBB sejak Jumat (26/9) pagi.
Meskipun mereka sama-sama menentang Netanyahu, kedua kelompok tersebut bukanlah sekutu
Pasalnya, kelompok aktivis anti-Israel non-Yahudi bertujuan untuk mengucilkan mereka yang dianggap Zionis dan mendukung penghancuran Negara Israel.
Di satu sisi, Netanyahu melakukan konvoi truk saat dirinya tiba di New York.
Dalam truk itu bertuliskan "Ingat 7 Oktober" yang bertujuan untuk mengingatkan dunia terhadap kekejaman yang dilakukan Hamas pada 7 Oktober 2023.
