Nei giorni scorsi si è assistito a una vera e propria strumentalizzazione mediatica sulla vicenda Schengen legata ai fatti accaduti in Spagna, con una narrazione distorta secondo cui il governo italiano avrebbe chiuso le frontiere obbligando i cittadini spagnoli a viaggiare con il passaporto. Una ricostruzione che, secondo quanto denunciato, il giornalismo mainstream non avrebbe avuto interesse a chiarire correttamente.

A fare chiarezza è intervenuto #GaleazzoBignami, che ha fornito alcuni dati concreti: in soli due giorni sono entrati in Spagna più immigrati di quanti ne siano arrivati negli ultimi sei mesi, anche moltiplicando quel dato per quattro. Alla tesi secondo cui questi migranti resterebbero confinati nel territorio geografico africano, i fatti risponderebbero diversamente: basta consultare la cronaca per verificare che le persone stanno già attraversando i 17 chilometri che separano le coste nordafricane da quelle sud-europee, con barchini e altri mezzi di fortuna, per poi muoversi liberamente in tutta Europa una volta giunte in territorio spagnolo.
