Questa distorsione è emersa con forza quando, durante la pandemia, è stata pronunciata la frase "Il vaccino è libertà". Parole che hanno sollevato indignazione in chi vede nella #libertà un valore ben più profondo di una formula propagandistica.
Da qui prende avvio una riflessione più ampia: che fine ha fatto la libertà intesa come partecipazione, come valore condiviso, come spazio di confronto reale? In un contesto dominato da figure considerate 'super titolate' - professori, tecnocrati, intellettuali di prestigiose università - cresce la sensazione di una distanza sempre più ampia tra la classe dirigente e la vita reale delle persone.
A ricordare cos'è davvero la libertà arriva la voce di Giorgio #Gaber, con la sua celebre canzone del 1972. Un brano che, a cinquant'anni di distanza, sembra scritto per il nostro presente. Gaber ci ricorda che la libertà non è uno spazio vuoto, né un gesto fine a sé stesso:
"La libertà non è uno spazio libero. Libertà è partecipazione".
