NACH EM-SIEG: Final-Heldinnen kehren nach England zurück – und werden frenetisch gefeiert!

Die Fußball-Europameisterinnen sind zurück in ihrer Heimat: Nach dem dramatischen Finalsieg gegen Spanien in Basel ist das englische Team am Montag auf dem Flughafen London Southend gelandet. Dort wurden die frischgebackenen Titelverteidigerinnen von Hunderten jubelnden Fans empfangen, die den historischen Erfolg ausgelassen feierten. Im Anschluss folgte ein offizieller Empfang bei Premierminister Keir Starmer in der berühmten Downing Street Number 10. Für heute ist eine große Siegesparade mit einem offenen Doppeldeckerbus durch die Straßen Londons geplant. England hatte am Sonntagabend im EM-Finale die amtierenden Weltmeisterinnen aus Spanien im Elfmeterschießen besiegt und damit erfolgreich den Europameistertitel verteidigt.
