Menurut data dari The Wealth Report, populasi individu super kaya raya di Asia diperkirakan akan tumbuh sebesar 38,3% selama periode 2023-2028. Peningkatan jumlah aset finansial dunia yang diinvestasikan di luar negara asal juga diproyeksikan akan terus meningkat. Berangkat dari trend tersebut, saya melihat adanya kesempatan bagi Indonesia untuk menarik dana-dana dari family office global. Dari perhitungan terkini, ada sekitar 11,7 triliun US dollar dana kelolaan family office di dunia.Family Office sendiri merupakan salah satu upaya untuk menarik kekayaan dari negara lain untuk pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional. Dengan memiliki family office, bukan hanya meningkatkan peredaran modal di dalam negeri nantinya, tetapi juga menghadirkan potensi peningkatan PDB dan lapangan kerja dari investasi dan konsumsi lokal
Saat ini ada beberapa negara di dunia yang menjadi tuan rumah dari aset tersebut, dua diantaranya dari Asia yakni Singapura dengan 1500 family office, dan Hongkong yang memiliki 1400 family office. Namun akhir-akhir ini, peningkatan kondisi geopolitik di Hongkong, serta perubahan regulasi investasi di Singapura meningkatkan risiko dan ketidakpastian investor. Inilah yang membuat Indonesia bisa mengambil kesempatan untuk menjadi alternatif dengan membentuk Wealth Management Centre, karena kondisi pertumbuhan ekonomi kita cukup kuat, kondisi politik pun juga stabil, serta orientasi geopolitik kita yang netral.
