Palloncini, fiaccole, candele, striscioni, fumogeni e quel coro ripetuto più volte all’unisono: «Sempre con noi, il Gabbo è sempre con noi». Domenica sera si è svolta a Viareggio la fiaccolata spontanea organizzata dagli amici di Gabriele Martini, il giovane di 17 anni che nella notte fra venerdì e sabato ha perso la vita nelle vicinanze della discoteca Twiga, a confine fra Marina di Pietrasanta e Forte dei Marmi. Gabriele, per tutti “Gabbo”, stava tornando a casa in scooter assieme all’inseparabile amico Tommaso. I due si sono scontrati con un Range Rover condotto da un imprenditore di 27 anni in vacanza al Forte, Luigi Giordano, che dopo lo schianto si è allontanato a piedi dal lungomare, senza prestare soccorso.
Assieme a lui, due ragazze: per diverse ore i tre sono stati irreperibili, fino alla decisione di Giordano – sabato pomeriggio – di consegnarsi alle forze dell’ordine. L’uomo è stato arrestato con l’accusa di omicidio stradale aggravato da fuga e omissione di soccorso, mentre le due donne sono state denunciate per omissione di soccorso.
