Mecca Defence Pact Activated | Pakistan-Türkiye-Saudi Arabia Military Alliance | Houthi Attacks | Red Sea Crisis

Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye have agreed to activate collective defence measures under the Mecca Defence Alliance, with the three countries moving toward the rapid deployment of agreed military forces and capabilities in Saudi Arabia amid escalating attacks linked to Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi movement.

In this video, we explain the Mecca Defence Pact, why Saudi Arabia sought greater military support, and what the latest Pakistan-Türkiye military deployment means for the changing security architecture of the Middle East.

The video covers the Saudi Arabia-Pakistan-Türkiye defence agreement, the Houthi attacks on Saudi territory, the Yemen conflict, the strategic importance of the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb Strait, and the possible implications for regional security.

The Mecca Defence Agreement was signed on August 7, 2026, and establishes a collective-defence framework under which an armed attack on one of the three countries is treated as an attack on all three. The latest decision represents the pact's first major operational test.

We also examine the simultaneous escalation around Yemen and Bab el-Mandeb, where Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces have launched an offensive against the Houthis. The strategic waterway is critical for global maritime trade and energy security.

The video also discusses the reported US Navy MH-60R Seahawk emergency near Yanbu over the Red Sea, where the helicopter disappeared from publicly available flight-tracking data after declaring an emergency. Importantly, there was no official confirmation of a crash or the cause of the emergency at the time of reporting.
