Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel Bermúdez ha reconocido que el gobierno cubano mantiene conversaciones con los Estados Unidos, desmintiendo así a su propia oficialidad mediática. Lo hizo, además, amparándose en el argumento de que ha sido práctica de la Revolución no responder a especulaciones.Pero quizás lo más llamativo no está solo en lo que dijo, sino en quién estaba presente mientras lo decía.
En los dos momentos en que Díaz-Canel ha hecho estas declaraciones ha contado con la mirada atenta —y la participación— de Raúl Guillermo Rodríguez Castro, “El Cangrejo”, nieto de Raúl Castro.
Sin tener cargos oficiales, vestido de civil y sin la presencia de su abuelo, el Cangrejo participó tanto en la reunión conjunta del Buró Político, el Secretariado y el Consejo de Ministros, como en la conferencia de prensa que, teóricamente, ofreció Díaz-Canel en la mañana de hoy.
