Trump Says US Bombed Iran’s Main Oil Export Hub | Karaj Island Strike
US President Donald Trump says American forces have carried out a major bombing raid targeting Iran’s Karaj Island, the country’s main oil export hub.According to Trump, the strike was ordered by the United States Central Command and targeted military infrastructure on the island, which handles around 90 percent of Iran’s oil exports. In a statement posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump described the operation as one of the most powerful bombing raids in the history of the Middle East.
The president also warned that while oil infrastructure was not targeted in this strike, the United States could reconsider that decision if Iran interferes with shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian officials have not yet confirmed the attack, but analysts say the island plays a crucial role in Iran’s economy and energy exports. Any major damage to facilities there could have significant economic consequences and potentially escalate tensions further in the region.
The strike comes as the wider conflict between the United States, Iran, and regional actors continues to intensify across the Middle East.
