(LaPresse) Al termine dell’81esima Assemblea Generale dell'Onu, la presidente della Commissione europea Ursula von der Leyen ha annunciato un sostegno dell’Ue pari a oltre 800 milioni di dollari (circa 710 milioni di euro) a favore delle persone sfollate e delle comunità dell’Africa subsahariana, nonché aiuti di emergenza per le persone colpite da crisi in tutto il mondo. L’annuncio è stato fatto nell’ambito della campagna 2026 promossa dall’organizzazione internazionale Global Citizen. «Se lavoriamo insieme, possiamo rendere il mondo un posto migliore. Con il pacchetto odierno, sosterremo le comunità sfollate in tutta l’Africa, nonché le comunità che le accolgono. Stiamo inoltre potenziando gli aiuti di emergenza a favore delle persone colpite dalle guerre in Medioriente e in Ucraina.
