HAMBURG: Wohnung nur ohne Auto! Mieter müssen verzichten oder draußen bleiben!In Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg sorgt ein Neubauprojekt der städtischen Saga für Aufsehen: Wer eine der 58 geförderten Wohnungen mieten will, muss sich vertraglich verpflichten, kein eigenes Auto zu besitzen. Stattdessen setzt das sogenannte „autoarme Quartier“ auf Lastenrad-Stellplätze, Fahrradgaragen und Carsharing. Die Initiative trifft jedoch auf juristische und politische Kritik – sie sei ein Eingriff in die Freiheitsrechte der Mieter. Die Saga verteidigt das Konzept als zukunftsweisend. Der Streit zeigt: In vielen deutschen Städten wird die Frage, wie viel Platz dem Auto noch zusteht, zunehmend zur sozialen und politischen Zerreißprobe.
