Una generazione, cresciuta sfogliando albi con protagonisti maschili e quasi sempre rigorosamente sceneggiati e illustrati da uomini, che ha deciso di cambiare rotta e trasformare quello che sembrava essere un “boys club” in un mondo molto più complesso, denso e ricco di sfumature. «Fumetto, femminile plurale – La nuova generazione di fumettiste è diventata grande», un incontro organizzato a Più Libri Più Liberi da Bao Publishing in collaborazione con Goethe-Institut e con il sostegno dell’Accademia Tedesca Roma Villa Massimo, ha puntato una luce su questa inversione di direzione. Un cambio di passo testimoniato dai dati di mercato, che premiano sempre di più fumettiste come Michèle Fischels che con la sua opera di debutto «Outline», pubblicata in Italia da Bao, ha fatto scalpore in tutto il mondo. O come Irene Marchesini e Carlotta Dicataldo, che dopo il successo di «Rebis» segnalato su moltissime riviste internazionali di prestigio, hanno appena dato alla luce lo straordinario «Lyndon - Come il mare sotto la luna». «Il fumetto per molti anni è stato un mondo maschile o almeno veniva percepito come tale - spiega Caterina Marietti fondatrice e ceo di Bao -. Nel corso del tempo, con l’apertura di spazi come le librerie, il pubblico femminile si è ampliato e come conseguenza le autrici hanno avuto più spazio per esprimersi e raccontare le proprie storie». Storie che spesso superano gli schemi preordinati e sono molto più “di rottura” rispetto a quelle degli autori come conferma Marietti: «Le proposte più folli che ho ricevuto, in senso buono, provengono da autrici. Le fumettiste osano molto più degli uomini forse perché si sentono libere di raccontare quello che desiderano senza pensare agli stereotipi che le circondano». Receive SMS online on sms24.me
