Blender for Android | Alpha 2 [Unofficial Build]

First of all, I’d like to thank Blender and its community for the incredible work they’ve done over the years, and especially u/idimus, who created the first unofficial Blender 5.3 Android port that made this build possible: https://www.reddit.com/user/idimus/

I also want to make something very clear: I’m not planning to provide support for other devices.

The main goal of this project was to learn more about C++ and see how far I could take Blender on my own Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Since then, I’ve been working on enabling and improving as much of Blender as possible on Android, including audio, simulations, painting, Cycles, Eevee, motion tracking, touch controls, and many other features.

One of my biggest focuses has been making Blender actually usable with a touchscreen.

For this Alpha 2 video, I recorded the entire demonstration using only the touchscreen, no mouse, no physical keyboard, and no stylus.

If you do have a stylus/s pen, though, the experience becomes even better, especially for workflows such as sculpting and painting, where pressure sensitivity can provide a significant productivity boost.

Another major improvement in Alpha 2 is the collapsible top menu, which makes Blender much more practical to use when the phone is in portrait orientation. Several menus, dialogs, toolbars, and interface elements have also been adjusted to work better on smaller touchscreens.

Again, if you want to follow and know more about Blender on Android, please follow u/idimus:

He created the original Android port that started all of this:

And if you have a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and want to experiment with my version, I’ve just released Alpha 2 here:

⚠️ Please remember: this is an experimental, unofficial build developed and tested specifically on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Compatibility with other devices is not guaranteed.

It’s still just an experiment, but having almost the full Blender experience running natively as an APK on a phone is pretty amazing. 🔥 Receive SMS online on sms24.me
