Munir Above All? India Blasts Pakistan's Army-Driven Power Structure At UN | Firstpost Live
India has delivered a sharp message to Pakistan at the United Nations, challenging Islamabad's record on judicial independence, accountability and minority rights while drawing firm red lines on terrorism and nuclear threats. At the UN General Assembly's Sixth Committee, Indian diplomat R. Mythili questioned Pakistan's judicial record, citing concerns over its 26th Constitutional Amendment, Imran Khan's continued detention, the reported denial of medical treatment, trials of civilians in military courts and restrictions on the judiciary. In a separate intervention at the First Committee, Indian diplomat Anmol Sher Singh Bedi laid out India's three red lines: a fitting response to terrorist attacks, no nuclear blackmail, and no distinction between those who sponsor terrorism and those who mastermind it. India also invoked Operation Sindoor, launched after the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, reiterating that nuclear threats cannot shield those responsible for terrorism from accountability.
