Kepanikan terjadi saat bangunan yang digunakan warga tiba-tiba ambruk.

Kapolsek Ciomas, Kompol Iwan Wahyudi, bilang bangunan majelis taklim yang ambruk merupakan bangunan baru.
Bangunan ambruk karena struktur bangunan tidak kuat menahan beban dari membeludaknya jemaah.
