Ia dibakar hidup-hidup oleh penumpangnya saat mengantar penumpangnya itu ke Kabupaten Sampang.
Kasi Humas Polres Bangkalan, AKP Eko Puji mengatakan, kejadian bermula saat korban sedang mencari penumpang di wilayah Surabaya pada Senin (13/10/2025) pagi sekitar pukul 05.30 WIB.
Korban lalu didatangi seorang pria dan meminta diantar menuju ke Kabupaten Sampang.
Korban lalu menerima permintaan pelaku tanpa menggunakan pemesanan melalui aplikasi.
Tanpa curiga, korban lalu mengantar penumpang tersebut.
"Jadi korban ini sebagai ojek online," ujarnya, Senin (13/10/2025).
Setelah melewati wilayah Bangkalan, korban terus mengemudikan motor maticnya ke wilayah Sampang.
Setibanya di Desa Panyepen, Kecamatan Jrengik, pelaku meminta korban berhenti.
"Di situlah, korban disiram oleh pelaku menggunakan cairan bahan bakar," ungkapnya.
Diduga, bahan bakar tersebut telah disiapkan oleh pelaku.
Korban yang sudah penuh bahan bakar itu lalu disulut api oleh pelaku dan korban langsung terbakar.
"Motor korban lalu dibawa lari oleh pelaku," jelasnya.
Korban kesulitan memadamkan api yang membakarnya karena kondisi sepi.
Korban berusaha memadamkan api dengan mengguling-gulingkan badan ke tanah hingga api padam.
"Dengan penuh luka bakar, korban mencari pertolongan ke warga sekitar," tuturnya.
Setelah berhasil bertemu warga, korban lalu meminta tolong dibawa ke rumah sakit.
"Warga lalu membawa korban ke rumah sakit dan melapor ke kami. Saat ini korban masih dalam perawatan," jelasnya.
