Filmde, çift cinsiyetli bir Çingene olan Caniko’nun ameliyatla kadın olmasının hikâyesi konu edilir. Caniko, mahallede erkeklerle top oynayan, sokaklarda köçeklik yapan bir çingenedir. Bir akşam meyhanede içip eğlenirken Acenta Rıza’nın adamları Caniko’yu kaçırır. Tecavüze yeltendiklerinde erkek olduğunu anlayıp bıçaklarlar. Hastaneye kaldırılan Caniko, ameliyatla kadın olur. Yeni bir hayata başlayan Caniko, Raziye ismini alarak genelev işleten Naciye’nin yanında köçeklik yapmaya başlar.
