Secondo Ranucci, questa scelta sarebbe dovuta arrivare prima, già quando Meloni aveva espresso posizioni controverse sul conflitto in Palestina. Allo stesso tempo, però, ha voluto esprimere solidarietà nei confronti della presidente del Consiglio, giudicando inaccettabile che un capo di Stato straniero attacchi direttamente il governo italiano.
