Mat’s flown over to Italy to visit the Pagani factory, and he’s going to find out what the process is like when speccing your very own hypercar!
Of course, given the Utopia starts from €3,100,000, he won’t be buying one! But he’s still going to find out what options are available when speccing such a car.
For starters, one area you can’t alter is the engine. Every Utopia is powered by a 6-litre twin-turbo V12 AMG engine, which produces 852 to 864hp, with the ability to hit 62mph in just 3.1 seconds. The power is sent to the rear wheels, and the dry weight is only 1,280kg.
However, when it comes to any other element of the car, the customisation options are almost endless!
The first step for Mat to take is choosing the exterior colour of the car, while also choosing whether he wants any exposed carbon or not. He’ll then have a choice of which wheels he wants, coupled with changing the colour of the brake callipers.
Then it comes to the interior, where it’s possible to pick the leather colour, while also ensuring the other elements of trim are coloured to your own liking. The colour of the dials can also be customised to ensure it contrasts well with the rest of the interior.
Mat was also shown some of the more unique customisation requests, with previous customers having requests for Alcantara-woven seats, diamonds in the gear stick, and even a request to change the colour of every titanium screw in the car!!
