Isso evita excesso de sujeira se você entrar com sapato sujo de terra, barro ou lama, pois é só tirar tapetinho de borracha e lavá-lo separadamente.Mas, esse time que parece inofensivo pode causar alguns problemas. Isso acontece principalmente em automóveis que têm o pedal do acelerador suspenso, que se articula no alto.
Esse tapetinho costuma correr para frente, ficando embaixo do pedal do acelerador e quando o motorista pisa até o fundo, o pedal não está indo até lá embaixo, o que reduz o desempenho, a potência do automóvel.
