@iamwithdhanyavarmaZeba Tommy and Shamla Hamza are both winners of 55th Kerala State Film Awards. Shamla Hamza received the award for the best Actor (female) for the movie Feminichi Fathima. Zeba Tommy received the Best Playback Singer (Female) for the song Aarorum from the movie Am Aa.
in this conversation on I AM we tried to bring the both of them together to explore their life journeys and their professional aspects.
Shamla Hamza first acted in the movie Aayirathonnu Nunakal. The movie had received critical acclaim for the plot and the characterisations. Feminichi Fathima directed by Fasil Muhammed is a brilliant social drama that explores themes of gender equality, cultural traditions, and personal empowerment through the lens of its protagonist, Fathima.
Zeba received the award for the song ‘Aarorum’ from the movie ‘Am Aah’, directed by Thomas K Sebastian. Zeba has sung for more than 15-20 songs. Her song from the movie Lokah Queen of the night made the audience sit up and take notice. She has also penned the lyrics of the song. This is her fourth movie with Music composer Jakes Bejoy after Kalki, Garudan and Officer on Duty. She has also independent songs to her credit.
We have featured these two artists as they show exemplary talent and courage in pursuing their art. They are people to watch out for in the future we are certain.
