La fotografia della liberazione degli ostaggi israeliani nelle mani di Hamas è al centro della nuova puntata della video rubrica «Fotosintesi» di Beppe Severgnini: «Chi non si è commosso vedendo queste immagini dovrebbe vergognarsi – dice – All’abominio del 7 ottobre è però seguito quello di Gaza con decine di migliaia di vittime civili. Un macigno sulla coscienza di Israele». Quello che non si può fare, sostiene Severgnini, è ignorare un orrore o l’altro: «Non possiamo chiedere questo equilibrio a chi ha sofferto – la popolazione civile di Gaza, i parenti degli ostaggi in Israele. Ma per tutti gli altri, anche in Europa e in Italia, è doveroso». La tregua porterà alla pace? La pace resisterà o, come è accaduto altre volte in passato, verrà dissacrata dagli estremisti? «In attesa di conoscere le risposte, diciamolo: la liberazione degli ostaggi è una luce nel buio – conclude - Chi non riesce a dirlo è un fanatico».
