Nel sito fratello di Karahan Tepe, scavato solo al 5 per cento, emergono una stanza ovale con pilastri a forma di fallo, un canale con gradini e pozze che alcuni ipotizzano riempite di sangue. Poi le sculture girate verso il muro, i volti sfregiati e il culto dei teschi attestato dai crani incisi.
Taş Tepeler, le Colline di Pietra, contano oltre 20 siti del Neolitico pre-ceramico lungo 200 chilometri. La parte più importante è quella che non è stata ancora scavata.
