È di un morto e di 15 studenti feriti, il bilancio di un incidente avvenuto stamane verso le 7.30 in via Maggiore, la strada che congiunge Chiarano con Piavon di Oderzo, in provincia di Treviso. Ad avere la peggio il conducente di un suv Hyundai, un 85enne di Fregona, morto sul colpo nello scontro frontale con un pullman Atvo carico di studenti, partito da San Donà di Piave. Per l'impatto l'autobus si è adagiato nel fossato che scorre a lato della carreggiata. Sul posto sono intervenute alcune squadre dei vigili del fuoco di Motta di Livenza e di Treviso, ambulanze e l'elicottero del Suem 118, la polizia locale e i carabinieri della stazione di Cessalto che stanno svolgendo gli accertamenti. Non sono ancora chiare le cause dello schianto: non si esclude un malore improvviso dell'anziano automobilista che avrebbe invaso l'opposta corsia di marcia del pullman.
