Il prezzo del gas naturale ha subito un aumento significativo, superando i 50 €/MWh, a causa della riduzione delle forniture globali e della fine del contratto di transito del gas russo attraverso l’Ucraina. Questo ha avuto un impatto diretto sul mercato dell’energia elettrica, dato che in Italia una quota rilevante dell’elettricità è prodotta con centrali a gas.
Le condizioni climatiche rigide dell’inverno hanno ulteriormente aumentato la domanda di energia per il riscaldamento, spingendo i prezzi verso l’alto sia per il gas che per l’elettricità. Le tensioni geopolitiche, come la #guerra in Ucraina e le #crisi in Medio Oriente, hanno destabilizzato i mercati energetici e aumentato i costi delle materie prime.
Il prezzo all’ingrosso dell’energia elettrica, noto come PUN (Prezzo Unico Nazionale), è cresciuto ulteriormente, aggravando i costi per famiglie e imprese con contratti a prezzo variabile. Questi fattori hanno portato a un aumento delle bollette fino al 18% per l’elettricità e al 16,5% per il gas nel primo trimestre 2025, con un impatto significativo sulle famiglie italiane, soprattutto quelle più vulnerabili.
Ma dov'è che il governo può lavorare per calmierare questi prezzi?
"Come sapete siamo in Europa, quindi dobbiamo presentare piani sostenibili a livello europeo. Voi sapete che ogni prodotto che viene fatto in Europa è tassato in parte in base a quante emissioni di anidride carbonica ci vogliono per produrlo. L'Europa però produce il 6% delle emissioni globali".
