Aksi nekat ini terjadi di rumahnya di Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Dilansir dari Kompas, Minggu, (20/7), petugas mencium bau asap dari kamar mandi saat masuk ke lokasi.
Selain uang yang dibakar, ditemukan pula uang 7,5 juta ringgit di dalam kotak bantal.
Petugas juga menyita jam tangan mewah, perhiasan, dan koin emas.
Dugaan kasus ini terkait suap dalam tender proyek pusat data.
MACC menegaskan bahwa membakar barang bukti adalah pelanggaran berat.
Wakil Kepala MACC menyebut hal ini melanggar Pasal 201 KUHP.
Penyelidikan masih berlanjut untuk menelusuri aliran dana.
Publik diimbau tidak menghalangi proses hukum yang sedang berjalan.
