¿Darías la vida por la revolución? Cubanos responden en la calle
Colaboradores de Cubanos por el Mundo salieron a preguntar en calles de Cuba si la gente daría la vida por la revolución, como aseguró Miguel Díaz-Canel.Importa porque las respuestas, grabadas sin filtro, muestran una distancia enorme entre el discurso oficial y la calle.
El 24 de agosto de 2026, en una entrevista con la periodista brasileña Mônica Bergamo para Folha de São Paulo, Díaz-Canel afirmó: "Si 32 dieron la vida en Venezuela, ¿qué no harían millones de cubanos por defender la revolución?". El sondeo recoge respuestas de todo tipo. Varios entrevistados responden que no, que su vida no le pertenece al gobierno y que no entregarían nada por un sistema que, dicen, los está destruyendo. Otros afirman que sí, por convicción o por historia familiar. Un hombre cuenta que lleva 32 días sin agua en su casa; otro dice que creía en la revolución cuando la revolución creía en ellos.
Varios coinciden en una distinción clave: defenderían a Cuba, no al gobierno cubano. Y cuando se les pregunta qué le responderían al gobernante, la mayoría pide lo mismo antes que sacrificio: comida, electricidad, agua y un salario que alcance.
Alexander Otaola cierra preguntando qué queda de esa revolución que se pide defender, con escuelas sin pizarras ni baños y aguas albañales desbordadas. Esa valoración es del presentador. El sondeo es una muestra de opiniones recogidas en la calle y no una encuesta representativa.
