Getaran dari gempa tersebut dirasakan warga hingga ke Kabupaten Sumenep, Madura, Jawa Timur, Situbondo hingga Bali.
Kerusakan paling parah terjadi di daerah Situbondo, di mana rumah warga dilaporkan mengalami kerusakan hingga roboh.
Berdasarkan informasi yang diterima, gempa bumi terjadi sekira pukul 16.04 WIB, dengan pusatnya berada di wilayah timur laut Banyuwangi.
Salah seorang warga bernama Darussalam, mengaku sangat kagaet ketika merasakan getaran gempa.
Warga yang merasakan langsung memberi kabar melalui media sosial terkait bencana yang terasa cukup jelas.
Peristiwa bencana alam ini sudah dikonfirmasi oleh BPBD Sumenep, Achmad Laili Maulidy.
Achmad menjelaskan saat ini pihaknya masih melakukan pendataan lebih lanjut terkait wilayah mana saja di Sumenep yang terdampak getaran gempa.
Hingga kini belum dilaporkan adanya korban jiwa akibat gempa berkekuatan 5,7 SR di wilayah Sumenep.
