Presiden Prabowo Subianto melantik Letnan Jenderal TNI (Purn) Nugroho Sulistyo Budi sebagai Kepala Badan Siber dan Sandi Negara (BSSN) menggantikan Letjen TNI (Purn) Hinsa Siburian.Pelantikan berlangsung di Istana Negara, Jakarta, Rabu (19/2/2025), bersamaan dengan pelantikan sejumlah menteri dan kepala lembaga lainnya.
Nugroho diangkat berdasarkan Keputusan Presiden (Keppres) Nomor 29 P Tahun 2025 tentang Pemberhentian dan Pengangkatan Kepala BSSN. \
Nugroho Sulistyo Budi adalah perwira tinggi TNI Angkatan Darat yang berasal dari satuan elite Komando Pasukan Khusus (Kopassus). Selama berkarier di dunia militer, ia telah menduduki berbagai posisi strategis.
Di awal kariernya, Nugroho tergabung dalam Grup IV Kopassus pada periode 1997-1998 ketika terjadi dinamika politik dan gerakan pro-demokrasi di Indonesia. Ia menjadi salah satu anggota eks Tim Mawar, yang diduga menjadi dalang di balik operasi penculikan aktivis politik pada 1998.
