Frankreichs Präsident Emmanuel Macron bekräftigte auf dem europäischen Raumfahrttreffen seine Forderung, dass Europa ein eigenes Programm für bemannte Raumflüge entwickeln solle. „In zwei Jahren möchte ich sehen, wie die erste europäische Frachtkapsel Nyx an der Internationalen Raumstation andockt. In fünf Jahren soll der erste europäische Mondlander Argonaut auf der Oberfläche des Mondes landen“, sagte Macron.An dem von Deutschland und Frankreich organisierten Treffen nahmen nach französischen Angaben Regierungsvertreter:innen von 60 Staaten sowie Vertreter:innen internationaler Organisationen und zahlreicher Unternehmen teil. Mehrere US-Unternehmen hatten ihre Teilnahme kurzfristig abgesagt, darunter SpaceX und Blue Origin.
