TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM-Pemerintah Kota Malang terus mendorong modernisasi pasar tradisional sebagai upaya meningkatkan daya tarik ekonomi lokal. Wali Kota Malang, Wahyu Hidayat, mengungkapkan bahwa Pasar Bareng menjadi salah satu pasar yang disiapkan untuk dikembangkan dengan konsep pasar tradisional yang modern dalam waktu dekat ini, Jumat (30/5/2025). Sebelumnya sudah ada Pasar Oro-oro Dowo dan Klojen yang berubah wajah.
Wahyu menuturkan, geliat pasar saat ini tak lagi identik dengan kesan kumuh dan bau yang selama ini melekat di benak masyarakat. Sebaliknya, pasar kini mulai menjadi ruang yang digemari oleh anak muda, termasuk mereka yang berasal dari luar kota.
