Los 25 edificios del complejo hospitalario de San Juan de Dios narran en cada espacio la historia de la salud en Colombia durante casi 100 años. Este hospital hizo la transición de la medicina francesa por pabellones al modelo norteamericano de una torre central, y también cuenta como el cambio de modelo de salud impulsado en los años 90 cerró las puertas a la atención médica gratuita.Una serpiente boa permanece inmóvil en uno de los senderos que recorren la penitenciaría la Gorgona, la más temida del país durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX en Colombia. En este capítulo, Santiago recorre esta isla prisión desempolvando las historias, en algunos casos macabras, que tuvieron lugar en esta cárcel.
