Today, Gujarat's Somnath Temple presents its resplendent golden form to the entire world. Marking the completion of 75 years of Somnath's grandeur, Prime Minister Modi himself is present there, offering prayers to Lord Shiva. The Somnath Temple is today celebrating the 'Amrit Mahotsav' (Diamond Jubilee) of its reconstruction. PM Narendra Modi is participating in the *Kumbhabhishekam* (consecration ceremony) and the flag-hoisting ceremony at the temple. Ritualistic prayers and worship are being conducted in strict accordance with scriptural rites. Prime Minister Modi is performing a *Havan* (sacrificial fire ritual) at the *Bhudev Yagna Kund* within the Somnath Temple complex. PM Modi also performed the *Jalabhishek* (ritual water offering) to Lord Somnath. Earlier, the *Bhairavnath Damru Mandal*—a troupe playing the *Damru* (double-headed drum)—was seen leading PM Modi's procession chariot. Following the roadshow, the Prime Minister offered floral tributes at the statue of Sardar Patel.
