Landtagswahl Rheinland-Pfalz: Jetzt live bei BILD
Mainz – Die Landtagwahl in Rheinland-Pfalz wird zum dramatischen Finale. SPD-Amtsinhaber Alexander Schweitzer (52) und CDU-Herausforderer Gordon Schnieder (50) trennt einen Prozentpunkt. Nach einer neuen INSA-Umfrage für BILD liegt die Union mit 28 Prozent vorne, knapp dahinter die SPD mit 27 Prozent. Es zeichnet sich seit zwei Wochen ein Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen ab. Obwohl die SPD innerhalb eines halben Jahres um fünf Prozentpunkte zulegen konnte, die CDU um einen Prozentpunkt, schafft es Schweitzer in den Umfragen jedoch nicht, mit Schnieder gleichzuziehen oder ihn zu überholen.In Rheinland-Pfalz geht es um mehr als eine Landtagswahl. Nach dem schlechten Abschneiden von CDU und SPD bei der Landtagswahl in Baden-Württemberg schaut die Bundespolitik mit Argus-Augen nach Mainz. In Stuttgart hat CDU-Kandidat Manuel Hagel (37) den sichereren Wahlgewinn auf den letzten Metern versemmelt, die SPD ist im Ländle auf 5,5 Prozent abgestürzt.
