Fiji's Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, currently on a three-day visit to India, discussed the long-standing ties between India and Fiji in an exclusive interview with Firstpost Managing Editor Palki Sharma. During his visit, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the two leaders agreed to deepen defence cooperation through joint efforts in peacekeeping, cyber security and maritime surveillance. While talking to Firstpost, Rabuka also discussed the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on Fijian goods, as well as his relationship with the United States and President Donald Trump. He later commented on Trump’s criticism of India, a trusted partner of Fiji, over allegations of indirectly funding the war in Ukraine through its oil trade with Russia.---
