KOMPAS.TV - Tunjangan fantastis DPR di tengah ekonomi sulit terus dikritik. Tunjangan anggota DPR naik melejit di saat ekonomi masyarakat terhimpit. Membuat amarah rakyat tak terbendung.Para wakil rakyat dinilai tidak peka dengan impitan ekonomi yang dirasakan masyarakat.
Tak hanya itu, gaya komunikasi sejumlah anggota dewan menjawab persoalan publik makin membuat masyarakat meradang.
Salah satunya pernyataan anggota DPR Ahmad Sahroni.
Sikap anggota DPR ini memicu amarah publik yang menilai kinerja anggota dewan tak sebanding dengan fasilitas yang diterima.
Kelompok buruh menilai besarnya tunjangan perumahan anggota DPR tidak masuk akal, apalagi tunjangan itu diberikan di tengah upah murah yang saat ini diterima buruh.
Mendapat kritik sana-sini.
Ketua DPR RI, Puan Maharani, meminta maaf jika kinerja Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat dinilai kurang memuaskan masyarakat. Puan berjanji akan mengevaluasi diri, termasuk membuka ruang dialog dan komunikasi.
Direktur Eksekutif Lingkar Madani, Ray Rangkuti, meminta kenaikan tunjangan DPR ditunda, serta agar tidak menimbulkan kesenjangan sosial. Gaya hidup dan perilaku anggota dewan juga harus diubah.
Unjuk rasa di DPR, 25 dan 28 Agustus lalu, jadi simbol kekecewaan warga pada para wakil rakyat.
Ini semestinya jadi alarm bagi para wakil rakyat untuk evaluasi dan menjaga sikap agar tak berbuat arogan jika masih ingin dihormati dan dipercaya oleh rakyat.
