Namun Bahlil tidak mau membuka isi pembicaraan dirinya dengan Seskab Teddy.
Keberadaan pertambangan nikel di destinasi wisata Raja Ampat mendapat sorotan publik karena dikhawatirkan merusak kelestarian destinasi wisata Raja Ampat.
Bahlil Lahadalia menghentikan sementara kegiatan operasi PT GAG Nikel di Pulau Gag, Kabupaten Raja Ampat, Papua Barat Daya.
Penghentian sementara dilakukan untuk menindaklanjuti pengaduan masyarakat terkait dampak pertambangan terhadap kawasan wisata di Raja Ampat.
Bahlil menyebut PT GAG Nikel merupakan satu-satunya perusahaan yang saat ini berproduksi di wilayah tersebut.
Kontrak Karya (KK) perusahaan anak usaha PT Antam Tbk itu terbit pada 2017 dan mulai beroperasi setahun kemudian setelah mengantongi Analisis Mengenai Dampak Lingkungan (AMDAL).
Namun, guna memastikan seluruh prosedur dipatuhi, tim inspeksi Kementerian ESDM telah diturunkan ke lapangan.
Bahlil menyebut lokasi tambang tersebut tidak berada di destinasi pariwisata di Piaynemo, Raja Ampat, tetapi berada kurang lebih 30-40 kilometer (km) dari destinasi wisata.
Ketua Umum Partai Golkar itu pun akan mengunjungi Sorong dan Pulau Gag dalam waktu dekat untuk meninjau langsung aktivitas pertambangan.
Ia ingin memastikan tidak ada pelanggaran terhadap aturan lingkungan maupun kearifan lokal Papua Barat Daya.
Ia menyebut hasil verifikasi lapangan akan diumumkan kepada publik setelah tim menyelesaikan investigasi.
Hingga verifikasi di lapangan rampung, Direktorat Jenderal Mineral dan Batubara Kementerian ESDM telah diminta menghentikan sementara status Kontrak Karya (KK) dan operasi PT GAG.
Adapun PT GAG Nikel memiliki jenis perizinan berupa Kontrak Karya yang terdaftar di aplikasi Mineral One Data Indonesia (MODI) dengan nomor akte perizinan 430.K/30/DJB/2017, dengan luas wilayah izin pertambangan 13.136 ha.
