Residents emerge in DR Congo’s tense Uvira after M23 rebel takeover
A fragile calm is returning to the Congolese town of Uvira, after it was captured by M23 fighters earlier this week.The group says it is focused on restoring peace and security in the area.
Tens of thousands of people fled as the Rwandan-backed group approached. However, many are returning home.
