О лекцииСептуагинта — это греческий перевод еврейской Библии, которому суждено было стать Библией ранней Церкви, Библией византийского мира, а позже лечь в основу славянской Библии. Предание говорит о том, что перевод был осуществлен семьюдесятью старцами-толковниками, которые специально для этого прибыли из Иерусалима в Александрию — по просьбе египетского царя и с благословения Иерусалимского первосвященника. Что в этой легенде правда, что выдумка, и что было на самом деле?

Михаил Селезнев — филолог-библеист, доктор филологических наук. В 1991—2010 гг. — ключевой переводчик и главный редактор нового перевода Ветхого Завета (вышел в свет в 2011 г. в Российском Библейском Обществе).
