Trump Makes New Oil Move To Ease Russia-related tariffs Ahead of Midterms | FP Videos
US President Donald Trump has temporarily waived sanctions tied to purchases of Russian oil, just a day before 100% tariffs on major buyers, including India and China, were due to take effect on October 18. The move comes as India and the US continue trade deal negotiations, after Washington accused New Delhi of helping fund Russia’s war in Ukraine through oil purchases. India has defended its imports, citing cost and availability. Meanwhile, Trump has welcomed Russian diesel supplies to the US as his administration faces pressure to keep fuel prices in check ahead of November’s midterm elections. What explains Washington’s changing approach to Moscow?---
