Brics verso il summit di Rio, il Pil cresce più del resto del mondo
ROMA (ITALPRESS) - Dal 5 all’8 luglio si terrà in Brasile il diciassettesimo Summit dei BRICS, con grandi aspettative per la creazione di un quadro di alleanze ampliato. I membri fondatori - Brasile, Russia, India, Cina e Sudafrica - lavoreranno per rafforzare la cooperazione insieme ai sei nuovi membri: Egitto, Etiopia, Iran, Emirati Arabi Uniti, Indonesia e Arabia Saudita. Nove paesi parteciperanno al summit con lo status di osservatori: si tratta di Bielorussia, Bolivia, Cuba, Kazakistan, Malesia, Nigeria, Thailandia, Uganda e Uzbekistan. Il blocco rappresenta ora quasi il 50% della popolazione mondiale e genera circa il 40% del PIL globale. Un recente rapporto del Fondo Monetario Internazionale prevede che le economie BRICS cresceranno del 3,4% nel 2025, superando la media globale del 2,8%. Lo studio indica inoltre che il Pil del blocco nel 2024 ha raggiunto il 4% rispetto a una crescita mondiale del 3,3%.Gli undici paesi della coalizione rappresentano insieme il 24% del commercio globale, mentre il commercio interno ha superato i 1.000 miliardi di dollari.
