Langkah tentara rezim Zionis ini langsung direspons oleh Penjabat Menteri Luar Negeri Iran, Ali Bagheri Kani.
Ia memperingatkan agar Israel tak gegabah melawan perlawanan Hizbullah.
Ali Bagheri memperingatkan pendudukan Israel agar tidak melancarkan perang terhadap Lebanon.
Menurutnya, melawan Hizbullah sama saja dengan neraka yang tidak dapat kembali lagi.
Oleh karenanya, ia meminta agar Israel menarik diri dari rencananya tersebut.
“Lebanon akan menjadi neraka bagi Zionis dan jika mereka bijaksana, mereka tidak akan mencoba Lebanon lagi,” kata Bagheri Kani.
Pernyataan diplomat tinggi tersebut disampaikan saat konferensi pers bersama dengan Penasihat Keamanan Nasional Irak Qasim al-Araji di Bagdad, Kamis (13/6/2024).
Perang skala penuh antara Israel dan Lebanon dikhawatirkan terjadi karena ketegangan terus meningkat.
Ia lantas mengungkit kekalahan luar biasa yang diderita pendudukan pada tahun 2000 dan 2006.
Saat itu, tentara Israel juga melawan Hizbullah yang berujung kekalahan.
Jika Israel nekat menyerang Lebanon, IDF diyakini akan mengulang kondisi yang sama.
