Pierfrancesco Favino è al cinema con il nuovo film di Andrea Di Stefano, dal titolo Il Maestro. Ospite a Fanpage.it, ha dichirato: "Viviamo in un Paese ossessionato dal vincere, ma noi siamo bravi soprattutto a stare insieme da sconfitti". Raul Gatti, il protagonista di questo road movie, è un ex tennista irrisolto e ammette che il ruolo è arrivato in un momento critico della sua vita: "Mi stavo chiedendo se ero ancora capace di fare questo mestiere e se ne avevo ancora voglia". Scherza sul suo amore non ricambiato per il tennis — "Io al tennis voglio un bene dell’anima, ma lui mi stima" — e, proprio come i grandi tennisti come Jannik Sinner, affronta il peso delle aspettative: "Non dormo la notte prima di un film. È il desiderio di far bene e la paura di non essere all’altezza. Ma il pubblico questo non lo vede ed è giusto così". E sul biopic di Sinner, oltre il meme della scelta di Will Smith, dice la sua su l'attore che potrebbe interpretarlo: "Andando oltre la somiglianza fisica, ti direi Timothée Chalamet, ma mi piacerebbe un italiano e allora Massimiliano Caiazzo, penso sia molto bravo, è uno di questa generazione che ha da dirci qualcosa.
