Typhoon Dolphin Hits China: Over 1 Million Evacuated, Flights Cancelled | Firstpost Live

Typhoon Dolphin has battered eastern China, forcing more than one million people to evacuate as powerful winds and torrential rain threaten widespread flooding and landslides. The storm made landfall in Zhejiang with winds reaching 151 kilometres per hour before moving inland. Wenzhou relocated more than 900,000 residents, while Shanghai evacuated thousands and cancelled around 1,500 flights. Forecasters warned of up to 500 millimetres of rain in parts of Zhejiang, with several provinces facing flash floods, landslides and overflowing rivers.
