Inilah awal mula kasus dugaan ijazah palsu Presiden ketujuh RI, Joko Widodo.Di tahun 2022, Bambang Tri Mulyono menggugat Presiden Jokowi ke Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Pusat atas duugaan ijazah palsu. Pengadilan Negeri kemudian tidak menerima gugatan tersebut dengan alasan kurang cukup bukti.
Kasus ini berlanjut pada akhir 2024, ketika mantan dosen Universitas Mataram, Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, meragukan keaslian ijazah dan skripsi Jokowi.
Rismon menilai penggunaan font Times New Roman dalam dokumen tersebut belum ada di era 1980-an hingga 1990-an.
Kemudian Ketua Tim Pembela Ulama dan Aktivis (TPUA) Eggi Sudjana membuat laporan Bareskrim Polri pada bulan Desember 2024 atas dugaan ijazah palsu Jokowi.
